The Big Dipper FS-1 Flat Strainer is designed replaces unreliable and dangerous electic garbage disposals in restaurants and commercial kitchens.   It is typically installed under the commercial sink and reduces clogged drains due to food solids buildup.  The Flat Strainer separates and collects coarse solids such as rice, cole slaw, and other foor particles larger than 0.125" (3.175 mm) in diameter.  This unit is used under all sorts of commercial kitchen sinks including food prep sinks, ware washing sinks, and pre-rinse stations.

The removable tray allows kitchen staff to easily empty the collected coarse solids directly into a trash receptacle.  The FS-1 is constructed of durable stainless steel and offers a simple solution for solids waste disposal.  The maximum height of the unit is 21.5", and features adjustable feet to allow 1" of adjustability.  If the unit is too tall, the legs can be sawed to lower the unit.  The max centerline height for the outlet is 14".  Outlet provided on left or rigth side with one end-cap provided.

 Can this be used even if I don't have a Big Dipper Grease Trap?   Yes.  You do not have to have Big Dipper Grease Trap to use this flat strainer.
