The Trapzilla Compact, Super-capacity Grease Interceptor collects free-floating (non-emulsifed) grease & oils contained in kitchen drain water flows. As most food service facility managers already know, grease buildup inside a building’s grease containment system is a major cause of problems due to exterior drain line blockages. These problems jeopardize normal operations as well as create health and safety hazards within the facility itself. The proper installation of a Trapzilla Super-capacity Grease Interceptor can reduce or eliminate these grease problems. Use of a Trapzilla system assures minimization and/or elimination of costly sewer surcharges and fines through efficient separation and retention of free-floating grease & oils.
Trapzilla holds up to 250% more grease retention capacity than conventional grease traps of the same GPM size. This provides the safety factor so important to sewer utilities and restaurant operators. Trapzilla is easy to service too. Your community's pumping contractor can quickly pump a Trapzilla and not interfere with your restaurant's business.
Trapzilla's unique horizontal and vertical baffling system prevents thermal inversion while laminarly spreading the flow for maximum separation efficiency. Thermal inversion is when the grease trap acts like a huge lava-lamp as warmer water from fresh kitchen flows exchanges with colder water inside a grease separator. It is why conventional grease separators lose efficiency as they fill with grease.
Trapzilla's compact design and available options allow installation into most Food Service Establishments. You can install inside the floor, outside in the ground, between floors, above the floor and you can easily configure systems with one, two, or four Trapzilla units for additional capacity. For high-volume full-service restaurant sites in tight, downtown locations designers can choose to team a high capacity Trapzilla Solids Separator ahead of a Trapzilla Grease Separator.
Trapzilla units are lightweight and can be easily carried and installed by a plumber and his helper. Trapzilla fits through most commercial doorways and down most commercial facility staircases. Plumbing a Trapzilla is simple.
Dimensions
In-Ground Model: TZ-600-ECA (4" or 6" Inlet/outlet)
The TZ-600-ECA and TZ-600-ECA-6 In-Ground Trapilla Grease Interceptors are ASME rated for 75 GPM, but capable of handling flows up to 150 GPM, and holds more than 635 pounds (86 Gallons) of grease in a 95 Gallon footprint. Unlike traditional interceptor designs, the TZ-600 is capable of holding more than 85% of its internal volume in grease and solids before it begins to lose efficiency. Perfect for replacing failing steel or concrete, the TZ-600 is manufactured out of durable polyethylene, meaning that it will outlast traditional interceptors made of inferior materials.
The in-ground models come with an Extension Collar Adapter Ring lid, 18" long single-piece extension collar and 22" Solid Top Cover that can be removed easily to clean out retained grease.
Above-Ground Model: TZ-600-SSA (4" or 6" Inlet/outlet)
The TZ-600-SSA and TZ-600-SSA-6 Above-Ground Trapzilla Grease Interceptor is ASME rated for 75 GPM, but capable of handling flows up to 150 GPM, and holds 635 pounds (86 Gallons) of grease in a 95 Gallon footprint. This means that unlike traditional interceptor designs, the TZ-600 is capable of holding more than 85% of its internal volume in grease and solids before it begins to lose efficiency. Perfect for replacing failing steel or concrete, the TZ-600 is manufactured out of durable polyethylene, meaning that it will outlast traditional interceptors made of inferior materials.
The Above-Ground models come with a SSOP-400/600 Support Stand, a Standard Adapter Ring lid and 22" Solid Top Cover that can be removed easily to clean out retained grease.
Thermaco Trapzilla Model No. TZ-600, linear low-density rotationally molded polyethylene grease and oil separator(s) for below or above-ground installation, shall be ASME A112.14.3-rated at 75 GPM (4.73 l/s) and factory-rated at 150 gallons per minute (9.46 l/s) peak flow, 635 pounds (288 Kg) of grease storage capacity with a flat grease separation efficiency curve, crush-resistant cylindrical walls, fully removable cover for grease and solids removal, integral non-floatation anchor ring for in-ground installation, integral horizontal baffle, laminar inlet flow diverter, integral vessel vent, separate storage compartments for grease and solids, and including as an integral part of the unit an integral gas trap and a fully removable polyethylene self-positioning keyed cover equipped with sealed thread fasteners.
