Description
75 HDPE rotational molded grease interceptor with flow rating of 75 GPM and liquid holding capacity of 140 gal. Steel encased composite lid provides a water/gas tight seal and has a minimum of 20000 lb load capacity. Unit shall include: 3/8 in uniform wall thickness, deep seal trap covered by lid, internal air relief by-pass, adjustable lid system, stainless steel calibrated orifice plate (internal flow control), sample port access and 4 in no hub inlet and outlet connections. Steel encased composite lid provides a water / gas tight seal and has a minimum of 20000 lb load capacity. The lid is designed in accordance with the loading requirements of AASHTO H20. Interceptor shall be tested and certified to the PDI Standard PDI-G101, CSA B481, ASME A112.14.3 and listed with IAPMO. This grease interceptor is also in compliance with International Plumbing Code (IPC)/ICC by IAPMO.
Used in restaurants, kitchens, institutional and industrial facilities such as food processing and packaging plants and other types of food processing areas where fat, oil and grease (FOG) drains with the waste water. Typically installed either on or into the floor. Narrow width permits access through doorways and down stairwells. High Density Polyethylene construction ensures a lightweight installation process (two people can move and install it). Regular maintenance is required to keep the interceptor functioning. Can withstand a temperature of up to and including 150O Fahrenheit.
Features and Benefits
External Vented Flow Control Fitting
All of Drain-Tech's PDI approved grease interceptors are supplied with an external, vented flow control fitting. Studies have proven that the use of an external, vented flow control fitting results in more effective grease interception because of the air introduced into the drain line through the vent in the top of the flow control fitting. As this air enters the interceptor, grease coats the resulting air bubbles and increases the efficiency of the grease rising to the surface.
Sample Port Access
Sample port access is provided standard in our interceptors. Simply remove the lid to gain access to the top opening of the internal inlet and outlet piping. A sample of the water discharging from the interceptor can be taken from the top opening of the outlet piping (deep seal trap).
H-20 Load Rated Lid
Standard, 20,000 Lb. AASHTO H-20 load rated steel encased composite, gasketed lids and collar are standard to withstand heavy loads
Structural Integrity
Ribbed body design provides extra structural integrity for in ground installations. The body is manufactured in the USA out of seamless, rotationally molded High Density Polyethylene with a 3/8” uniform wall thickness. The body is strong but lightweight, allowing it to be installed without the need of a backhoe or crane. The H.D.P.E. material will not crack, chip or bulge under extreme impact, sunlight and / or temperature changes. H.D.P.E. is a much better material for interceptors than fiberglass because H.D.P.E. has resistance to a greater number of chemicals than fiberglass. Fiberglass is also hard and stiff and is subject to cracking. A rotationally molded H.D.P.E. interceptor is simply tougher and has much greater impact resistance vs. fiberglass. Fiberglass interceptors also have a negative environmental impact because they are made with VOCs - (Volatile Organic Compounds). Facilities that produce fiberglass interceptor shave a negative impact on the environment because of VOCs they put into the air. Rotationally molded H.D.P.E. interceptors have NO environmental impact. Can withstand a temperature of up to and including 150O Fahrenheit.
Narrow Width
The 33 ½” width allows the interceptor to fit through doorways and down stairwells. Two people can carry and install the interceptor.
Riser Extensions
With the patented extension system, the contractor has the option to purchase an extension from Drain-Tech or to buy a length of ADS pipe from their local waterworks wholesaler in order to complete the installation immediately. This also means that the cost of our extension (when ordered from a local waterworks wholesaler will be significantly less expensive that buying the same height extension system from others). In addition, extensions from others are only available from that specific manufacturer – resulting in delays and time for production and shipment to the contractor. Flexible extensions make for easier installation where grade may be unlevel.
Extra Rough-in Dimension
The standard rough-in dimension (“C” dimension – from the middle of the inlet / outlet to the top of the lid) is 24½” and can be field adjusted by the contractor down to 15 ½” on the BIG-750 and to 16" on the BIG-1150. The 24½” rough-in dimension provided is almost double that of others – making it less likely to buy expensive extensions.
Forklift Access
Forklift access points are provided in the bottom of the interceptors to allow for easy handling.
Grip Points for Anchor Kit
Two grip points are provided on each side of the interceptor for easy handling. These grip points also serve as securing areas for our high water anchor kit which allows the contractor to secure the interceptor to the ground before concrete is poured around the unit (Suffix –AK).
Options and Accessories
40 years of experience with grease interceptors provides us with a superior knowledge of options and accessories often required with grease interceptors. We can expertly provide any of the following options: dosing pump, anchor kit, remote pump out, enzyme port, high level alarm, multiple inlet and outlet ports, sediment bucket and threaded connections.
Multiple Inlet/Outlet Options
Manufactured with two flat spaces on each side for two optional side inlets or outlets on both sides of the interceptor. This allows for straight through or side inlet/outlet pipe connections. (Specify required suffix for desired optional inlet/outlet).
Lifetime Warranty
Made in the USA, manufacturer offers a limited lifetime warranty. Meets the requirements of the Buy American Act.
Approvals
Tested and certified to the PDI G-101, ASME A112.14.3 and CSA B481 Standards and listed with I.A.P.M.O. Also in compliance with International Plumbing Code (I.P.C.) / I.C.C. by I.A.P.M.O.

Easy to install
Very easy to install and the riser and lid that can be cut to finished floor means we no longer have to fight with elevation of pipe or build a concrete vault to set the tank below finished grade. It's all that I'll use for an interior grease interceptor for a small commercial kitchen. Great product!
