Trench drains are a common source of headaches for supermarkets and commercial kitchens.

They are great for rapid evacuation of surface water. However most trench drain grates allow large amounts of solid debris, trash, and other particles to enter the plumbing system through the trench drains. Traditional drain strainers don’t work due to the irregular shape.

That is why Drain-Net has developed a drain strainer specifically for trench drains to ensure continued functioning and longevity of your trench drain system. This stainless steel trench drain strainer inserts into the drain, capturing solid debris, but allowing water to pass through to the plumbing system.

Two types of handles are available. The basket hook allows for easy removal. The cross bar handle is also easy to remove, but does not stick so that it won’t interfere with a grate that might sit on top of the trench.

We have designed this drain strainer to fit the majority of curved trench drains. However, trench drain curvature can vary depending on the manufacturer. The flange on our drain strainer is designed to bend in either direction, to create a perfect fit with your trench drain. The easiest way to bend the flange is to place it in a vice, and then use your fingers or pliers to adjust the shape of the flange.
