Where do Fruit Flies come from?
Fruit flies can be one of the biggest pests that a kitchen can have. The life cycle of a fruit fly is extremely fast and they can go from an egg to an adult in just 8 days. Which means that one overly ripe tomato left on the counter can attract a small fruit fly swarm within the week.
Fruit flies are also known for their persistence once they are indoors. They do not even need fruit to keep reproducing and can breed in the slime layer inside a slow-draining plumbing, or even an old mop or sponge.
