How to deal with a clogged mop basin

Making a New Year's To-Do list?  How about getting a solution to clogged mop sink drains?

COMMERCIAL MOP SINK BASIN STRAINER W/ FILTERS

Why do mop basins, mop sinks, or utility tubs typically clog?  Because they get dirt, grime, and garbage poured into them constantly.  Not to mention mop strings and the occasional night crew who uses this drain like a garbage can.  If something gets caught down the drain, the cost to fix and repair can be hundreds if not thousands of dollars.  We have three solutions to help prevent this problem:

1. The Mop Basin Strainer with filter.

This durable plastic filter (measuring 21" x 21" x 8") fits most square mop sinks. On it's own, it can filter out large debris and trash that often gets poured into the mop basin. It becomes twice as effective when you add the fine debris filter which keeps dirt and fine food particles out of your drains.Click here to learn more.

2. Locking Dome Strainer

Locking down drains has become common practice for many restaurants and facilities.  It keeps employees and cleaning crews from removing the drain strainer and letting large amounts of debris from being washed down your drain.  We offer locking dome strainers in cast aluminum and durable plastic.

STAINLESS STEEL FLOOR DRAIN STRAINERS

3. Stainless Steel Drain Strainers

The mop basin drain can get a lot of abuse from buckets, brooms, and mops.  Our Stainless Steel Floor Drain Strainers are perfect for this type of drain.  They sit under the drain cover, and are the last chance your drains have to be protected from unwanted drain debris.  They come in many sizes and feature a handle for easy removal.  Click here to learn more.

We have 3 great solutions to prevent your mop sink basin from ever getting clogged again!  Combine them or use all three to get triple the protection!  We can also customize a strainer for your exact needs.  Contact us if you need help figuring out a solution!
